Novel Writing Workshop - part 6 REBOOKED

07/06/2010 6:00 pm
07/06/2010 6:45 pm

For next workshop, please return chapters to their author with comments, editing, and other suggestions. Your input is greatly appreciated because it lends your point of view as a fellow writer and as a reader to the story. (In attendance: Twilla, Mandy, Joe, Linda)

During the course of the workshop we will look at serious editing tips, formatting, marketing, the synopsis, query letters and anything else that might be of interest or may come up in the course of the workshop. All comments, critique and suggestions will be given and received within the perimeters of the same WFSC spirit that accompanies any of our workshops - we care about you and your writing. In this workshop, however, you should welcome a more direct approach so that you might craft your work to the best of your ability before sending it out for consideration.

June 29th  - 6:30 - APPROX. 8:30 TO BE hosted by Joe - please arrange to meet for car pool.

THIS SESSION IS RESCHEDULED DUE TO CANCELLATION FROM JUNE 29TH * STRATHCONA COUNTY LIBRARY

6:00 PM - APPROX. 6:45 PM just before the Writers Circle Meeting in the Multi-Purpose Room

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR THIS WORKSHOP SESSION - bring copies of chapters 14, 15, 16, and 17 to distribute to the others to take home. Review the email sent to you with information about the SYNOPSIS. Write your SYNOPSIS. Bring your finished query letter, synopsis and a choice for submission - print out the guidelines for this publisher to share with the other participants. Does your manuscript measure up?

NOTE: we are not reading our novels in the workshop. We are having open discussion and sharing information on writing a novel. The reading of our co-writer's work ... is our homework.
