For next workshop, please return chapters to their author with comments, editing, and other suggestions. Your input is greatly appreciated because it lends your point of view as a fellow writer and as a reader to the story. (In attendance: Twilla, Mandy, Joe, Linda)

This workshop (January 2010 - August 2010) took writers on an 8-month reading, editing, and rewriting journey to the final draft of their current novel-in-works. Sharing knowledge and expertise during the course of the workshop provided insight into editing tips, formatting, marketing, the synopsis, query letters and dealing with any questions that might have come up during the process. All comments, critique and suggestions were given and received within the perimeters of the WFSC guidelines that accompanies any of our workshops -a writer and their writing is important. This workshop also took a more direct approach with critique, allowing us to grow and produce a piece of work ready for submission.

PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR THIS WORKSHOP SESSION - All subsequent chapters (21 or 22+) are to be emailed to the participants during the month of August in order to be read as they are ready for editing.  Finalize your SYNOPSIS and query letter and prepare your submission package (query letter, synopsis and sample chapters) to send out to a publisher of your choice that suits the genre you are writing in. Upcoming discussions will include your market, promotion possiblities and sales of your novel.

NOTE: Your "almost final" manual should be ready for a complete read by August 31st. We will exchange work then for a final once-over. The chapters required for the submission package should be proofed and sent out while you finish the rest of the project. THIS PROJECT IS EXPIRING - WHICH MEANS THIS WORKSHOP HAS SUCCESSFULLY HELPED YOU PREPARE YOUR NOVEL MANUSCRIPT FOR SUBMISSION!

NaNoWriMo is only 3 months away! Are you ready to go again???
