RED ARROWIt's cold outside. Why go out at all?

Stay inside and write. Try to put yourself into another setting - opposite of the one you are in now. If it's extremely cold (like here) then write about the tropics. If you are alone, write another character into the picture. If you are out of coffee... well, that won't do... go make some more and get back here and start writing.

Have a great day and keep on writing!

On Free-fall writing and using writing prompts:

"What you write does not matter. Even if a novel is the aim of your

writing, be diligent about always writing or learning something. If you are

in the practice of "free-fall" writing, you purge your mind and soul of words

and ideas, emotions and thoughts, allowing them to "fall" in nondescript

fashion upon the page. This process allows the creative juices to flow. It

lubricates the writer's voice. From there, what matters is that you continue

to practice, hone your craft and polish your product." (c) Linda J. Pedley
