COMPLETED - WFSC Annual General Meeting

On behalf of the Board of Directors for the WFSC, thank you to the members who attended this year's AGM. As the review from our president, Twilla, comfirmed - the WFSC has no lack of things on the go. We look forward to another successful and event-full year!

The WFSC - supporting writers ... any age, any stage of their writing career.

2010 - 2011 Board of Directors:

A new motion, supported by the membershp in attendance, will see an election schedule implemented this year with three year terms for two of our executive officers, and will be implemented next year for the two remaining executive officers. This allows for continuity on the WFSC Board, providing guaranteed leadership and quality volunteer input during the term of office. It also allows for flexibility and caters to bringing "new" members to the Board roster with at least two annual general director positions. There is no limit to the number of terms a member can serve - if you like it and can do the job, please stay!

Vice-President: Joe McKnight - term from 2010 - 2011

Secretary: Mandy Barnett - term from 2010 - 2013

Treasurer: Linda J. Pedley - term from 2010 - 2011

Past President and Library Liaison: Karen Probert  - term lasts until new president sits on the board

Director at Large: Rebecca Zingle

Volunteers drive our organization and without them, we wouldn't be able to do much. Thank you to those who have contributed their time and expertise into this group - it is a success because it's a group effort. If you are interested in helping out on any of the upcoming projects please let us know and we will advise you of the meetings and requirements. Your input is always valued on the member's portion of the web site and in the Muse Newsletter, too!

If you are not sure of your term expiry, please inquiry to wfscsherwoodpark@hotmail.com attention: Linda; the WFSC web site generates notices to your email address when membership fees are due and about to expire. You can pay fees at any of the meetings or online using PayPal (you don't have to have PayPal account as you can pay with credit card through the PayPal site).
