Creative Writing Tool - prompts, challenges, writing samples

The WFSC book - "WRITING PROMPT JOURNEY - The Road to Your Creativity" - was launched at the Words in the Park Book Sale and Fair on Saturday, December 4th in Sherwood Park. Many of our dedicated members stopped by to check out the display, to pick up their copies and peruse the tables of other book loving vendors. Although, this book targets writers, everyone will enjoy reading the submissions from 17 authors as they explore their creativity and respond to 20 the different writing prompts included in the book. It displays the diversity that exists among writers even when prompted by the same written inspiration. Mission: The purpose of this book is to help writers stretch their imagination - be creative and step outside the box.

The 2010 Book Project was borne of one memorable prompt from October 2007 - "Boots, write about them" - which lends the theme to the book. A selection of Writing Prompts, posted to the WFSC web site calendar over the past year, were chosen to accompany the "Boots" prompt to round out this creative writing guide book. These inspiring exercises have "prompted" some masterful writing by our members and we are proud to promote their work and encourage you, as a reader, to experience their joyful creativity. Writers, we know you will enjoy using this book to explore your own writing, as we challenge you to try each prompt and then dare you to "Pump Up the Prompt." Each piece will be as individual as you are, and, you never know what you might end up with.

The book is published by Dream Write Publishing Ltd. a new Sherwood Park publisher, and printed by Alpine Press, Edmonton. It's a great "must have" addition to any writer's collection and a great gift idea for any fellow writer or reader on your list.
