At the WFSC Writing ROCKS!

Do you know a young writer who would benefit from a Young Writers Group? The WFSC is looking to establish a youth group for up and coming novelists, prospective poets, or savvy newspaper journalists. The group would operate under the direction and mentorship of the WFSC and its dedicated members. Young writers are encouraged to attend our Writers Circle. UPDATE: if you are a young writer or you know of a young writer who would be interested in meeting with members of the Writers Foundation of Strathcona County, a meeting is available on the first Tuesday of every month from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Young writers aged 13 - 17 are welcome to attend. Get support, guidance and help with your creative writing endeavors. The mentors will not direct or edit school work but will have an open discussion on creative writing, idea sharing and establishing your own writer's voice. If you are interested in running your own writer's meetings, the WFSC members will help you establish meeting guidelines, set up workshop prompts and writing ideas, etc. based on our own Writers Circle and its caring, sharing fellowship.
