An Opportunity for Jasmine

Jasmine looked august in her silk kaftan. The party attendees glanced at her as she entered the room. Her long, shiny dark hair hung down her back, gently swaying side to side as she walked.

As she approached the party’s host, Irmir, the pallor of her skin flushed a little. With a deep breath to steady her nerves, she smiled and held out her hand.

Irmir’s eyes travelled over every inch of her, intrigued by this beautiful woman in front of him.

“I do not think, I have had the pleasure before.”

“No, we have never met officially before, but I have been on your tour of the caverns several times.”

“Indeed, I am delighted you found my tours that interesting. However, stalactites, stalagmites and a cold, wet cavern are not where I would expect to find such a lovely woman.”

Jasmin blushed at the compliment and curled a lock of hair around her finger.

“It is my hope to gain a position within your research team, Professor Irmir. I am more than a pretty face and would like the opportunity to prove it.”

“You are certainly a surprise, jasmine. let’s meet up next Wednesday at my campus office to discuss the matter further.”
