Email us to be added to a cancellation list as we cannot guarantee a table at this time. If you have already filled out an application and paid your event fee, you are included in the event. Tables are 5' x 2.5' and we would like to have them covered to the floor in a black table cloth--you can display and decorate to your own brand on top of that, thank you. The Writers Foundation of Strathcona County (WFSC) celebrates our 20th anniversary in 2025 and is proud to again host our fall signature event--Words in the Park ~ Author Fair & Book Sale. This is our 18th Words in the Park event; we invite everyone to this free family fun event promoting literacy and literature. Many authors choose our event as the perfect venue to release new books. The WFSC will be launching its 3rd writing prompt anthology with work written by members of the WFSC in response to our call for submissions to 20 prompts chosen to challenge their creativity. This year's collection is called SCORE! with Writing Prompts! and follows the format set by the 2 previous books, The Writing Prompt Journey (2010) and Writing Prompts--The Journey Continues (2020).

$35 for non-members

This year's event includes author table displays, book sales & launches, interactive activities for writers of all ages, prize draws and surprise give-aways, noon hour entertainment, and free refreshments.

Do you want to promote your book or product or service on our Facebook page during the event? Email us your image, blurb, and link and we'll schedule your ad for November 1st--we guaranteed at least one post during the 10:00 am - 4:00 pm time frame. Cost: $15 per book, product, or service. ​​
