A WFSC signature event held in conjunction with Alberta Culture Days. It's our 15th year hosting this community literary event featuring authors, books, and other culture-related displays and entertainment. This day of free family fun takes place on Saturday, September 24th, 2022 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm in the Community Centre Agora in Sherwood Park (Google Map).

The day's activities will include: 

  • Author Readings: 9:15 am - 11:30 am

    • Authors can share their work with 5-6 minute readings throughout the morning. 

    • Children's Readings - Featured at 10:00 am - 10:30 am

  • Musical Entertainment:  on stage from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

    • Lunchtime music with Kelsey Hoople & Alan Tymofichuk

  • Author Readings: 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

    • Authors can share their work in an afternoon assigned reading slot.

    • Featuring: Poetry readings from Poets in the Park members

    • The WFSC is launching their Poetry Anthology III - Creative Minds - readings from this new book will be featured with books available for purchase from the WFSC table.

  • Food trucks are on-site. Stay for lunch with food selections available for purchase from: TBA.

  • Free coffee available in the morning - provided by the WFSC and supplied by Vicky's Restaurant (while quantities last).

  • Bottled water is available throughout the day - donated by Dream Write Publishing (while quantities last).

  • Get-Involved activities throughout the day:

    • Interactive Children's Writing Workshop with Amanda O'Driscoll - WFSC Children's Writing Workshop Coordinator.

    • Your Lifetime of Stories Adult Memoir Writing Interactive with Beth Rowe - WFSC Your Lifetimes of Stories Coordinator.

  • Lots to see and do for the whole family.

  • Hey kids! Pick up your Find-It Fun Card at the WFSC table and get it 'stickered' for a chance to win a prize! Find the item on the card at author display tables throughout the AGORA and get your sticker.

  • 30+ Authors and book displays!

    • Our primary focus is literacy!

    • Several authors are launching new books - get them signed!

    • Great gift buying opportunities for the readers on your list.

  • Single table - $25

  • 2 tables (10'x10') display - $50

  • Have only a couple of books? Share a table for $15 - random sharing unless specified.
